This medium decidous tree has unique 3"-6" long by 1.5"-3" wide saw tooth like leaves that are rich dark green in color and turn yellow/bronze in the Fall.  It is a moderate grower that developes an open rounded crown as it ages with thin scaly or "flaky" bark. This tree is well adaptable to a range of soils and exposures, and seldom has troubles with diseases of pest making it well suited for North Texas
